Purpose-Built Dashboards

Document-database visibility at every level — replica set, shard, and individual node — right inside Oracle Enterprise Manager.

Home dashboard

Home

At-a-glance health for each MongoDB target: primary/secondary roles, replication lag, connections in use, opcounters, and uptime — with drill-downs into any node.

Also Included

Replica Set

Replica-set topology with member states, election history, oplog window, and replication lag charts per secondary. Alerts fire on role changes and stale members.

Queries

Top statements surfaced from the database profiler: slowest, most-executed, and highest-scanned. Drill into full query shapes, filter sets, and execution plans.

Storage & WiredTiger

WiredTiger cache hit ratios, dirty bytes, eviction pressure, and checkpoint durations — plus per-collection size, index size, and storage utilization.

Indexes

Index usage per collection with seeks, scans, size, and unused-index detection. Flag redundant and stale indexes before they impact writes.

Sharding

Shard distribution, chunk counts, balancer state, and jumbo-chunk detection for sharded clusters. See hot shards and rebalancing activity at a glance.

Enterprise-Grade Capabilities

Go beyond ping-and-port checks. Real document-database visibility — replica-set awareness, query analysis, and cache diagnostics — from inside OEM.

Replica-Set & Cluster Topology

Auto-discovered parent/child relationships between sharded clusters, config servers, shards, and replica-set members — rendered in the OEM Topology View.

Query Profiler Integration

Pull slow-query data from the MongoDB profiler, ranked by latency, documents examined, and execution count. Drill into query shapes to see where indexes are missing.

Replication Lag Alerting

Track oplog window, replication lag, and stale secondaries with out-of-the-box thresholds. Critical alerts fire before a failover leaves you without a usable secondary.

WiredTiger Cache Analytics

Hit ratios, dirty-byte pressure, eviction stats, and checkpoint durations surface cache and IO pressure before end users feel it.

Self-Managed & Atlas Support

Connect to self-managed MongoDB deployments with connection URI credentials or to MongoDB Atlas clusters using Atlas API keys — same plug-in, different target types.

Built-in Compliance Standards

Compliance rules bundled and ready to assign: authentication enforcement, TLS-only connections, enabled audit logging, bounded oplog, and unused privileged roles.

Broad Compatibility

Enterprise-ready support across the MongoDB versions, deployment modes, and OEM platforms you rely on.

How It Works

1

Install the Plug-in

Deploy the signed OPAR artifact to your OMS and Management Agents using OEM's standard plug-in deployment flow.

2

Configure Targets

Add MongoDB instances as mongodb_database, mongodb_replica_set, or mongodb_sharded_cluster targets. Provide connection URI and credentials for self-managed, or Atlas API keys for cloud.

3

Start Monitoring

Open the Home, Replica Set, Queries, Storage, Indexes, and Sharding pages, apply the built-in compliance standard, and receive alerts on replication lag and cache pressure immediately.
